I highly recommend this book to all levels of skiers and nonskiers. It is one of my favorite books. I love to read it every year before ski season.   Why? Because Mermer is a beautiful and award winning fiction writer. This book reads like a novel. Second, because she is a brilliant woman and gets me to think differently about skiing. This book will change how you think about skiing. It moved me from skiing about a performance to about a conversation with myself about fear, life, play, and just enjoying the experience!
